INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

We ship everywhere and anywhere! In any country that is served by any carrier, your item can be shipped. We use USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, or anyone else that comes along. Just ask for a shipping quote before or during your order checkout. Both you and we are pay pal protected guaranteeing receipt of goods and safe payment.

Your country may have other charges you may incur upon receipt such as VAT, carrier broker's fees, etc. We can not be responsible for that. We do not know what these charges will end up being. Every country and locality is different from another. . But you are advised to know this or find this out before you place your order. But we do not make money on shipping; we charge what the carrier charges us plus packing. We have NO profit margin on shipping. There is a minimum order for international shipments of $75 excluding shipping charges. All international shipments must be shipped to the same address as the person on the credit card or PayPal account.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING - lower 48

Free shipping is part of many items we sell. However, there can be no deadlines. Free shipping is only available in designated areas of the continental USA. Free shipping is not available on purchase orders.

Some of our products are shipped directly from the manufacturers and shipping times and costs are based on their schedules. All shipping times are estimates and we make no guarantee that an item shipped will make the estimated date unless an expedited shipping payment is made in addition to any standard shipping cost-free or otherwise.

We want you to buy from us. We have a very simple shipping charge structure. In most cases, we apply standard rates based on your purchase amount. You basically pay what we pay which includes the discounted estimated shipping costs we incur using the carriers such as USPS, UPS FedEx, DHL, etc. You will not pay retail prices for standard ground shipping for UPS and FedEx. We invite you to visit Fedex.com or UPS.com to compare our rates to retail rates.

Additionally, the shipping charges cover some costs of packing your items so that they arrive safely and securely. Unlike other retailers, our merchandise prices are not inflated to cover the cost of shipping. This is how we keep our prices per item very low and offer the lowest prices you can find almost anywhere. UPS, FedEx, and DHL shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, the US territories, and International destinations will usually require additional shipping costs. But you will be emailed a quote for the actual shipping costs for your approval.

Domestic Shipping - AK, HI, US Territories

All US domestic shipments (AK, HI, US Territories) that can be shipped via USPS and in most cases are priced the same as shipping to the lower 48 states. Oversized and International destinations using USPS will be quoted to you before we charge any amount to your credit card. Your credit card will not be charged any amount (except for Pay Pal explained below) until you have approved all charges, for both the items purchased and the shipping costs. For Pay Pal orders you will be sent a separate invoice for payment. If you do not approve the amount invoiced you will be refunded your initial Pay Pal payment and your order will be canceled.

* Oversize orders - Many music instruments and accessories are large and heavy (storage boxes, drum sets, large instruments, cases, etc.) and require us to charge freight because our carriers consider those items oversize or overweight. Carriers (UPS, FedEx, and USPS) will recalculate the actual weight to dimensional weight ((length + 2 x height  + 2 x width)/166 or 139 for International shipments) when applicable to accommodate the actual size boxes that fit on their trucks. Carriers applying dimensional weight practices will use the dimensional weight calculation to override the actual weight even though the actual weight is less. If your order contains any items which require special oversize or handling charges, you will see a separate line in your shopping cart with the amount of the charge before you complete your check-out.

* If your order is to be shipped to Alaska or Hawaii, go ahead and place your order online or call our toll-free number (1-800-777-7871) and we will let you know the freight charge BEFORE we ship or charge your credit card so that you can approve the freight charges.

Can I upgrade to Next Day or Two Day shipment?

Yes, you can. It is always best to call our toll-free number 1-800-777-7871 and order from one of our customer service reps when wanting to order any express delivery. But in many cases, we work directly with vendors who have to agree to ship the items. You will be required to make payment in advance. Musicity.com will not make any guarantee that a shipment will arrive on time. We have no control over shipping for our vendors. We have no control over carriers to deliver.

Does MusiCity.com ship outside of the United States?

We love to ship outside the US. MusiCity.com ships all over the world. We will charge your credit card ONLY AFTER you approve the purchase and approve the shipping charges. Place your order online and we will confirm back via email the additional shipping charges that would be incurred with your order. You will then need to approve the additional freight charges before we ship your order or charge your credit card. Please be aware that your locality may charge additional fees and duties when your package is delivered. Check with your locality to determine these amounts.

What methods does MusiCity.com use for shipment?

We ship by every means. Many items will be shipped via USPS First Class Mail. Orders weighing more will be shipped via UPS, Priority Mail, or FedEx. With the exception of First Class mail, all of our shipments are sent via traceable means with tracking information. International orders are shipped via USPS Priority International or DHL. Larger shipments of music stands and microphone stands, and large instruments may be sent via truck.

What happens if my product is damaged upon receipt?

All items purchased from Musicity.com are shipped FOB shipping point meaning that the risk of loss and title for such items passes to you upon delivery to the carrier, from either our facility or the facility of one of our suppliers. We do not provide insurance. We use the best carriers including USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and other reputable shippers who make every effort to protect and safeguard the shipment on its way to you. Tracking information is available and provided on most shipments. Additionally, each item is inspected and carefully packed to prevent damage before it is shipped.

You should inspect every box you receive for carrier damage before you open the carton. If there is obvious damage you should contact the shipping carrier to file a claim directly with them. In the very rare event that you receive a damaged item with no evidence of damage by the carrier, please contact us. We will likely ask that you email pictures of the damaged item. We will evaluate the situation for a suitable solution. Please do not use the damaged items.

If you accepted the shipment in good order, there is nothing we can do to compensate you for any freight damage. We will not be able to accept the product as a return. You can still file a claim directly with the freight carrier. We don’t have any influence over the outcome of the claim, but filing the claim quickly and providing details (including photos) is highly recommended. Please contact the freight carrier for information about the claims process or the proper forms.

If there is no sign of damage to the packaging, but the product is damaged, there is a small chance that the damage was incurred at the factory or distributor. Though rare, these cases are handled as Warranty Claims. We will require clear photos, from all sides, of the product damage as well as the original packaging.

All shipping is expensive

The cost of shipping items from our warehouses to your location continues to climb every year. Carriers increase their rates by a standard 4-5% amount every January. We try to make shipping free to you whenever possible. But please be aware that shipping is not really free. UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, and other carriers get their money. We have to absorb this in every product we sell. Every retailer including Amazon, Walmart, and hundreds of other retailers absorbs the shipping cost of every product. This affects profits. To counteract this we try to ship direct from the factory to you so that only one destination charge is included in the price of the product, not one cost to our warehouse and another one to your location. We don't charge retail prices for shipping; we pass the reduced rate on to you whenever possible.

Items shipped into California.
