What are
MusiCity.com's shipping costs?
We
have a very simple shipping charge chart.

If your order is
shipped in the Lower 48 States and the dollar amount of your order
is $199.00 or greater FREIGHT IS FREE!

If your order is
shipped in the Lower 48 States and the dollar amount of your order
is between $0.01 and $50.00 your postage/freight charge will be
$7.50*

If your order is
shipped in the Lower 48 States and the dollar amount of your order
is between $50.01 and $100.00 your postage/freight charge will be
$9.95*
-
If your order is
shipped in the Lower 48 States and the dollar amount of your order
is between $100.01 and $149.99 your postage/freight charge will be
$14.95*

If your order is
shipped in the Lower 48 States and the dollar amount of your order
is between $150.00 and $198.99 your postage/freight charge will be
$17.95*

* A few of our items
require us to add a special handling charge to the published
postage/freight charges because our carriers consider those items
oversize or overweight. If your order contains any items which
require a special handling charge, you will see a separate line in
your shopping cart with the amount of the handling charge before you
complete your check-out.

If your order is to
be shipped to Alaska or Hawaii, go ahead and place your order on
line or call our toll free number (1-800-777-7871) and
we will let you know the freight charge BEFORE we ship or charge
your credit card so that you can approve the freight charges.
Does MusiCity.com
ship outside of the United States?
MusiCity
ships all over the world. We never charge your credit card before you
approve the purchase and approve the shipping charges. Place your
order on line and we will confirm back via email the additional
shipping charges that would be incurred with your order. You will then
need to approve the additional freight charges before we ship your
order or charge your credit card.
What methods does
MusiCity.com use for shipment?
Our
primary means of shipment in the Lower 48 States is FedEx® Ground
delivery service. We also use United Parcel Service (UPS) and the
United States Postal System (USPS). All of our shipments are sent via
traceable means with tracking information.
Larger shipments of
music stand and mic stands, and large instruments will be sent via
truck.
Shipments outside of
the United States are sent via USPS Global Express unless otherwise
requested.
Can I upgrade to
Next Day or Two Day shipment?
Yes
you can. It is always best to call our toll free number 1-800-777-7871
and order from one of our customer service reps when wanting to order
any express delivery.
Where is MusiCity.com
located?
We
are located in Nashville, TN, with affiliated warehouses in New York,
Connecticut, California, Illinois and Missouri.
Is the
MusiCity.com warehouse open to the public?
Our
warehouses are not open to the public. However, if you are in the
Nashville area and would like to pick your order up, please call
615-324-8320 to schedule a pick up. There will be a $5.00 pick up fee.
Does
MusiCity.com Accept Purchase Orders?
Yes, from schools,
school districts and churches. Please call 1-800-777-7871
and speak with one of our customer service people to let them know you
are faxing a purchase order. All purchase orders must be faxed to our
corporate office at 615-501-0572. Your customer service
representative will call you back to confirm receipt of your faxed
purchase order.
Can MusiCity.com
bill organizations? Does MusiCity.com have open on-going accounts?
Yes,
we can bill schools, school districts, churches and other
not-for-profit organizations if you fax your purchase orders into us.
Please call 1-800-777-7871 and speak with one of our
customer service people to let them know the faxed purchase order is
coming.
However, there is no
free freight on billed orders. Free freight is given only on pre-paid
orders. All billed accounts are to be paid in 30 days with no finance
charges. Invoices not paid within 30 days will begin to accrue finance
charges.

Match Prices?
We
do our best to offer low everyday prices. If you find a better price,
and wish to see if we can beat it, please call one of our customer
service people for more information toll free at 1-800-777-7871.
Does MusiCity.com
offer extra discounts to Not For Profit Organizations?
Depending
upon the size of the order, MusiCity.com can give an extra discount on
orders over $1,000.00. Please call one of our customer service people
at 1-800-777-7871 for more information. We will need to
have a copy of your certificate faxed to our office at 615-501-0572.
Does MusiCity.com
offer Gift Certificates?
Yes,
we have gift certificates which you can order On Line or by calling
our toll free number 1-800-777-7871 and requesting a gift
certificate from one of our customer service people. You can purchase
a gift certificate in any amount your want. We will then mail the
confirmation to the recipient and follow up with a phone call or
email. These certificates have no expiration date so you can purchase
them with confidence.
Are the items
offered on the MusiCity.com web site the only items available?
The
MusiCity.com web site contains only 40% of the items carried by
MusiCity. If you have any musical instruments or accessories you are
interested in purchasing and you do not see them on our site, please
call one of our customer service representatives at 1-800-777-7871
or email us. We will check the item and give you a price.
Will MusiCity.com
charge me sales tax?
Only
individuals ordering from the state of TENNESSEE will be charged sales
tax. If you are a Not-for-profit organization in the state of
TENNESSEE and have faxed us a copy of your tax-exempt certificate, you
will not be charged state sales tax. All individuals and organizations
outside of the state of TENNESSEE will not be charged sales tax.
How is my privacy
and security protected while shopping on your site?
The
information collected on this site is only used to service your
account and ship your order. We take every precaution to ensure that
your credit card information is secure. We utilize SSL (Secure Sockets
Layer), the industry standard security protocol. All of your ordering
information is encrypted using this secure server for maximum
security. We also use a secure server technology, which safeguards
your online order by requesting authentication for server access,
encrypting private information, and protecting the integrity of your
data.
Why am I am having
problems placing items in my cart?
Our
shopping cart uses "referers" to jump from one part of the site to
another. After that it uses cookies to track sessions in the secure
area. The "referer" is the address of the page you came from when you
clicked on a link. Referers pose little or no security risk or privacy
threat. You might have a personal firewall installed that is blocking
referers. Referers are completely benign and are actually very helpful
to your browsing, but some newer third party firewalls and very high
settings in IE will block them by default. In fact, this action
disables an important tool that web sites use to go about their daily
business. We recommend that you disable this "feature."
Does the
MusiCity.com website use "cookies"?
After
you select an item and place it into your shopping cart basket, our
site uses cookies to track sessions in the secure area. Your credit
card and other order related data are stored on our secure server in
encrypted files, not in the cookie. Our shopping cart stores a unique
session identifier as a cookie on the shopper's computer for 180 days.
When you return to your basket later with more items, our shopping
cart can add those items into the same cart because it reads the
cookie and knows this identifier. Once you check out, the identifier
is deleted from the system and the cookie expires from your machine.
